At Healing Paws Project, our process begins with compassion and care.
When we learn of a military casualty, we reach out to the family. If they express interest in our program, we schedule a home visit to meet everyone, understand their wishes, assess their living environment, and answer any questions they may have. We also take a few photos of the outdoor spaces to help our trainers prepare.
Using this information, we carefully select up to three suitable pets. We share their bios, photos, and short videos to help the family make their choice.
Once a pet is selected, we ensure they are professionally trained—tailored to the family’s needs—vaccinated, microchipped, and fully prepared for their new home.
We then arrange a special delivery day, bringing the newest family member home and witnessing the smiles that make it all worthwhile.
As part of our commitment, Healing Paws Project provides all pet food for the first two years (or through the puppy stage), along with scheduled veterinary visits and vaccinations during that time.
With your help, we can provide more pets to families in need. Explore how you can contribute to our cause through volunteering or donations.
